VHS VIDEO TAPES FOREVER!

Some people think the old format of the clunky chunky VHS video tape is a long forgotten relic, but this simply isn't true!! Think back to the time when the CD came into our lives, small, sleek, light and easy to store! This didn't mean the cartwheel sized vinyl records were now obsolete, far from it! There is a huge collectible market for vinyl and are still used in nightclubs across the world by DJs

Well its the same for video tapes when the DVD appeared in our shops!

Videos are not only indestructible but they are very collectible with some still fetching upwards of £200 per tape!! You have to think of videos as rarities when you realise that not all films/programmes/recordings will be released on DVD which means they will be lost forever never to be seen by the viewing public again.

Its like the Steptoe and Son series (not a particular valuable video before you ask) when the series was released onto VHS video there were episodes missing because the BBC who at the time did everything they could to save money regally recorded new shows over old ones so they did not have to keep buying those expensive film reels.

It was only some 40 years later when some rare episodes thought to be lost forever turned up in in a musty box in someones cellar, these episodes were re-released and therefore made a fortune when they were sold on DVD completing the Steptoe and Son series.

Its the same for video,in fact only recently i sold a music video to the Welsh BBC music department, why? they obviously did not have this video in their archives and needed it to either create a new DVD or maybe create a music show for TV ,who knows but it was a very lucrative sale for me and only proved to me the value of the VHS video tape.

I have a huge range of videos from the minimal priced classic to the very rare, from the deleted recordings to the educational, from the simply collectible to the outright scarce. I would like to teach other enthusiasts the way to go, maybe make yourselves some money or just check the value of videos you have knocking around, DO NOT even think about throwing them away! keep hold of them until you know the true value,I'm happy to answer any questions you may have.

My aim for this site is to show you some of my rarer lots, to educate what video has the potential for good money, you might be surprised as even some videos that ARE on DVD still command great prices!
